About these 40th Birthday Cards
Forty splits people cleanly into two camps, and the card has to know which camp it is walking into. Some want the joke made and made loudly. Others have quietly decided this is a good year and would rather have something that looks like it cost thought. Both are here, and the difference is mostly whether the design leads with the number or with the foil.
Cards are printed on heavyweight cardstock in my studio in Mallow and come blank inside. The foil designs go through a heated press one sheet at a time, so the gold has depth and movement rather than the flat look of printed metallic ink.
A5 is the size most people pick for a fortieth, because it holds a longer message and looks right propped on a shelf. How does personalising work?
On the product page there's a box for the name, age or wording you want. Some designs add that text into the printed design itself, others leave the inside blank for you to write by hand. Each product page says which one it is.
Can I see a proof before it's printed?
For a straightforward name and date, I print without a separate proof. If your wording is longer or unusual, message me first and I'll confirm it before it goes to print.
What if I spot a typo after I've ordered?
Message me as soon as you can. If it hasn't gone to print yet I can fix it for free. Once it's printed and dispatched, a replacement is a paid reprint.
What foil colours do you offer?
Gold, silver, rose gold and holographic, plus gold holographic on some designs, I have over 30 foil color to choose from. Each product page shows which colours are available for that card.
Which size should I pick?
A6 is the standard card size and A5 is roughly double, better when the design carries a lot of wording or you want it to feel like a keepsake.
How long before it arrives?
- Made to order and dispatched within 2-4 working days, then standard An Post delivery within Ireland.
