A gold chalice sits at the centre of this wrap with the host above it and gold rays behind, white lilies and ears of wheat gathered to one side and a heavy bunch of purple grapes to the other. The child's name and Communion Day are set in flowing black script with the date below in gold.
Communion mornings run long and the tea afterwards runs longer, so a small bar at each place gives the younger cousins something to hold and the older ones something to bring home.
Is the wording fixed? Not at all. Communion Day, First Holy Communion or a line of your own, and the name can be the full version or the one everybody actually uses.
