About these Anniversary Cards
The number is the whole design on most anniversary cards, and it is the one detail people get wrong. The first and second get bought casually, then there is a long stretch where the card is a formality, and then twenty five and forty and fifty arrive and it matters again. Roughly half of these are bought by one half of a couple for the other, and the rest by grown children for their parents, which is a very different card.
Cards are printed on heavyweight cardstock in my studio in Mallow and come blank inside, because an anniversary message should not be written by a stranger. Real foil is pressed by hand with heat, so silver on a twenty fifth and gold on a fiftieth have depth and movement rather than sitting flat like printed metallic ink.
A5 is the size to pick when the card is coming from more than one person, or when it is a milestone year and the card will be kept. Made to order and dispatched within 2 to 4 working days by An Post. Anniversary Cards questions, answered
What size are the cards, and what do they cost?
Most designs come in two sizes. A6 at 10.5 by 14.8 cm, from 3.99 euro, and A5 at 14.8 by 21 cm, from 4.50 euro. A few designs are A6 only. The sizes and prices available are shown on each product page.
Can I add a name?
On personalised designs, yes. Type the name into the box on the product page and it is printed on the card. Premade designs are printed exactly as shown, with no name.
Is anything printed inside?
No. The inside is left blank so you can write your own message. Any personalisation is printed on the front of the card.
Does it come with an envelope?
Yes. Every card is sent with an envelope included in the price, kraft or white depending on the design.
Are the cards foiled or printed?
Both. Most designs are printed on 300gsm card with a smooth matte finish, and some are finished with real foil pressed by hand. A few are scratch-off. The finish is stated on each product page.
What if I spot a mistake in the details?
Message me straight away. If it has not gone to print yet I will fix it at no cost. Once it is printed and dispatched, a replacement is a paid reprint.
How long before it arrives?
Made to order and dispatched within 2 to 4 working days, then standard An Post delivery within Ireland.
