About these Cards for Grandparents
Cards for grandparents get read more carefully than almost any other card, and they get kept. Nana, Granny, Grandad, Mamo and Daideo all appear here, because what a family calls them is rarely what a shop assumes. That naming is the whole point of a personalised card, and it is the bit a supermarket cannot do.
The designs stay warm rather than clever, and the type is set generously so it reads easily without glasses, which matters more than any foil finish. Filters cover the occasion, the relationship and the style.
Made to order in my studio in Mallow, County Cork, on heavyweight cardstock, blank inside so the grandchildren can write their own message. Real foil is pressed by hand, and gold suits these designs best. A5 is worth it when more than one person is signing. For something that stays on the wall, the personalised home prints work well, and there are matching cards for grandson and cards for granddaughter.
Your questions, answered
Everything you need to know before you personalise a card.
How does personalising work?
On the product page there's a box for the name, age or wording you want. Some designs add that text into the printed design itself, others leave the inside blank for you to write by hand. Each product page says which one it is.
Can I see a proof before it's printed?
For a straightforward name and date, I print without a separate proof. If your wording is longer or unusual, message me first and I'll confirm it before it goes to print.
What if I spot a typo after I've ordered?
Message me as soon as you can. If it hasn't gone to print yet I can fix it for free. Once it's printed and dispatched, a replacement is a paid reprint.
What foil colours do you offer?
Gold, silver, rose gold and holographic, plus gold holographic on some designs, I have over 30 foil color to choose from. Each product page shows which colours are available for that card.
Which size should I pick?
A6 is the standard card size and A5 is roughly double, better when the design carries a lot of wording or you want it to feel like a keepsake.
How long before it arrives?
- Made to order and dispatched within 2-4 working days, then standard An Post delivery within Ireland.
