About these Debs Cards
The debs is a peculiarly Irish institution and it gets almost no card range at all, which is odd given the amount of money and photography involved. These are the ones handed over in the hall before the car arrives, usually from a parent or a grandmother, while somebody is still fixing a hem and everyone is being lined up against the front door.
The designs are deliberately not childish. Eighteen year olds in that particular mood will spot a card meant for a younger person instantly, so these lean on holographic and rose gold foil with short wording and nothing cartoonish.
Printed on heavyweight cardstock in my studio in Mallow, blank inside, made to order with the name set into the design. Real foil is pressed by hand with heat. Debs season is concentrated into a few weeks and dispatch is 2 to 4 working days by An Post, so order early. See also 18th birthday cards and graduation cards.

Debs Cards questions, answered
What size are the cards, and what do they cost?
Most designs come in two sizes. A6 at 10.5 by 14.8 cm, from 3.99 euro, and A5 at 14.8 by 21 cm, from 4.50 euro. A few designs are A6 only. The sizes and prices available are shown on each product page.
Can I add a name?
On personalised designs, yes. Type the name into the box on the product page and it is printed on the card. Premade designs are printed exactly as shown, with no name.
Is anything printed inside?
No. The inside is left blank so you can write your own message. Any personalisation is printed on the front of the card.
Does it come with an envelope?
Yes. Every card is sent with an envelope included in the price, kraft or white depending on the design.
Are the cards foiled or printed?
Both. Most designs are printed on 300gsm card with a smooth matte finish, and some are finished with real foil pressed by hand. A few are scratch-off. The finish is stated on each product page.
What if I spot a mistake in the details?
Message me straight away. If it has not gone to print yet I will fix it at no cost. Once it is printed and dispatched, a replacement is a paid reprint.
How long before it arrives?
Made to order and dispatched within 2 to 4 working days, then standard An Post delivery within Ireland.
