About these Valentine’s Day Cards
For a lot of couples the card is the entire gift, agreed in advance, which puts more weight on it than a card usually carries. A good part of this collection does the opposite job: the card that exists to take the mickey out of the whole occasion while still, quietly, being a Valentine's card. Nacho average partner. Life would succ without you. Both approaches are here and the difference is mostly whether the front has a punchline on it.
The Irish designs sit between the two. Grá, Grá Mór with the Claddagh, and Grá agus Barróga, which say the thing plainly in a language that makes it easier to say. The scratch reveals are a different format again: a foil panel over a personalised message, so there is a moment of finding out rather than just reading.
Cards are printed on heavyweight cardstock in my studio in Mallow and sent blank inside, since a printed verse has never once said the thing anybody actually meant. Dispatch is 2 to 4 working days by An Post, so early February rather than the tenth. If the gift is a night away or a meal out, the romantic gift keepsakes reveal it. Valentine’s Day Cards questions, answered
What size are the cards, and what do they cost?
Most designs come in two sizes. A6 at 10.5 by 14.8 cm, from 3.99 euro, and A5 at 14.8 by 21 cm, from 4.50 euro. A few designs are A6 only. The sizes and prices available are shown on each product page.
Can I add a name?
On personalised designs, yes. Type the name into the box on the product page and it is printed on the card. Premade designs are printed exactly as shown, with no name.
Is anything printed inside?
No. The inside is left blank so you can write your own message. Any personalisation is printed on the front of the card.
Does it come with an envelope?
Yes. Every card is sent with an envelope included in the price, kraft or white depending on the design.
Are the cards foiled or printed?
Both. Most designs are printed on 300gsm card with a smooth matte finish, and some are finished with real foil pressed by hand. A few are scratch-off. The finish is stated on each product page.
What if I spot a mistake in the details?
Message me straight away. If it has not gone to print yet I will fix it at no cost. Once it is printed and dispatched, a replacement is a paid reprint.
How long before it arrives?
Made to order and dispatched within 2 to 4 working days, then standard An Post delivery within Ireland.
