About these Good Luck Cards
A good luck card only works if it arrives before the thing happens, which makes it the one card in the shop with a genuine deadline attached. Leaving Cert mornings, driving tests, interviews, first days in a new job, matches, auditions. The person opening it is usually too wound up to read anything long, so the wording stays to a few words on the front and leaves the inside for you.
These get propped on a windowsill for the week beforehand more often than any other card I make, which is worth bearing in mind when choosing between A6 and A5.
Made to order in Mallow, County Cork, on heavyweight cardstock, blank inside, with a kraft or white envelope. Real foil is pressed by hand one sheet at a time. Dispatch is 2 to 4 working days by An Post, so order with the date in mind rather than the day before. See also congratulations cards for afterwards, and cards for friends.
Your questions, answered
Everything you need to know before you personalise a card.
How does personalising work?
On the product page there's a box for the name, age or wording you want. Some designs add that text into the printed design itself, others leave the inside blank for you to write by hand. Each product page says which one it is.
Can I see a proof before it's printed?
For a straightforward name and date, I print without a separate proof. If your wording is longer or unusual, message me first and I'll confirm it before it goes to print.
What if I spot a typo after I've ordered?
Message me as soon as you can. If it hasn't gone to print yet I can fix it for free. Once it's printed and dispatched, a replacement is a paid reprint.
What foil colours do you offer?
Gold, silver, rose gold and holographic, plus gold holographic on some designs, I have over 30 foil color to choose from. Each product page shows which colours are available for that card.
Which size should I pick?
A6 is the standard card size and A5 is roughly double, better when the design carries a lot of wording or you want it to feel like a keepsake.
How long before it arrives?
- Made to order and dispatched within 2-4 working days, then standard An Post delivery within Ireland.
